The Braves shuffle the bullpen as they open a series against Toronto. The Atlanta Braves have announced that reliever Aaron Bummer has been reinstated from the bereavement list and fellow reliever Michael Petersen has been optioned to Triple-A.

Petersen, who became the first Braves player born in the U.K. to appear for the team since Phil Stockman in 2008, pitched two scoreless innings in yesterday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. He stuck out one batter in an otherwise clean appearance for Atlanta.
Bummer, 31, has pitched in five games for Atlanta this season as one of the team’s high-leverage left-handed relievers. He has struck out seven in five innings and has had some awful luck on batted balls - including a double hit off his shoe.
The Braves open a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays tonight in Toronto.
