After getting the day off on Friday, Sean Murphy is right back in there for today’s contest. The lineups for both teams have officially been released and the Atlanta Braves will be heading into the middle game with the Tampa Bay Rays with a couple of changes as far as their lineup goes. Let’s not waste anymore time and see what both teams will have in store for this afternoon/evening.
Here’s Atlanta’s lineup:

The first five spots in Atlanta’s order are identical to what they put out there last night at Steinbrenner Field. The big changes occur in the lower half, which is where Sean Murphy is batting sixth and playing catcher after Drake Baldwin took his place for the series opener. Also, Nick Allen and Orlando Arcia are continuing to share time, as Allen will be making his first start in a few games while batting ninth and playing shortstop. We’ll see if the Braves can continue to make stuff happen at the plate.
Here’s how Tampa Bay will be looking:

This’ll likely be the only chance I get to type this phrase here on Battery Power: Thank goodness Danny Jansen isn’t in the lineup. Jansen had an absolutely huge night (for his standards) at the plate but despite that, Tampa Bay is going with Ben Rortvedt as their starting catcher for tonight’s contest. José Caballero is getting the nod in right field after former Mississippi State Bulldog and 2021 NCAA Division 1 National Champion Jake Mangum got the start in right field for last night’s contest.
What do y’all think about the lineups? Let’s hear it.
