Strider will make his first appearance of the Spring and his first appearance since April of 2024. After a few weeks of injury scares to multiple significant players, the Braves received some very significant and positive news on Sunday.

Spencer Strider will not only make is Spring Training debut, but will be making his first appearance since April of 2024. He only threw nine innings last year before missing the rest of the season due to elbow surgery. While it was anticipated that he would make an appearance at some point during the Spring, actually seeing it come to fruition is certainly another notable step in his recovery and eventual return to actual MLB action.
This will likely have little to no impact on the timeline for Strider to return to the Braves rotation, with some time in late April being a speculative target. But this certainly shows both the Braves and Strider feel he is getting close to being ready, which will be a great development for the Braves to once again feature their ace at the top of the rotation.
