Or would you rather let the Sun consume the Earth first? You know him. You love him. He’s managing your favorite team. He’s got his book of cliches. He loves to squeeze the juice out of the starter at every opportunity. But he does manage to keep this roster of great players pointed in the right direction.
This year, the Braves only have three starters coming back with more than ten starts. Ian Anderson, Grant Holmes, and AJ Smith-Shawver are ready to pick up the slack. There is a ton of uncertainty and inexperience at the fourth and fifth (and maybe sixth?) spots in the rotation this year. And as always, the injury bug will be waiting to bite.
So would you pull from the bullpen to start a game and ensure that one of those back-end starters could get to the seventh with only facing the opponents’ best hitters twice? We know Snitker’s approach. This is about you. Would you employ an opener this season, and if so, how and which reliever?
