The Braves have gone with a normal design. One of their divisional rivals absolutely didn’t. Spring training is right around the corner, which means that it’s time to start getting a look at the caps that teams will be donning across the Grapefruit League and Cactus League here in 2025. While the Atlanta Braves haven’t gone with anything groundbreaking or crazy from New Era, it’s still fun to get an idea of what the team will look like while they’re down in Florida for the next month-and-a-half.
Here’s a look at each cap (via sportslogos.net):

Here’s a closer look at Atlanta’s cap. Does it look familiar? If so, that’s because the Braves decided to stick with the same design that they had last season. Personally I’m not a fan of the red crown-navy brim look but it’s spring training so it’s not really all that important, now, is it?

What is important is that we take time out of our busy day to take a gander at one of the new hats that will be on display during spring training this year. The Mets have gone with a new look and it’s a doozy.

Yep. That’s certainly a hat!
Personally, I like it since it’s just the type of goofy nonsense that perfectly fits the vibe of spring training. There’s the trope of this being a baseball cap that contains a logo of a cartoon character wearing a baseball cap, which is always fun. There’s the oversized sunglasses that Mr. Met is wearing. There’s the loud orange crown on display as well. Again, I like the hat but also there’s no denying that this is an incredibly goofy-looking cap.
So, what do y’all think? Are you going to be rushing out to pick up a red Braves hat just in time for spring training? Are you going to be laughing and engaging with any Mets fans who you run into that are wearing this hat? Let us know!
