The annual Braves fan fest will not take place in 2025 As the baseball offseason rolls on, and now with the Winter Meetings in the rearview mirror, it becomes harder to predict when and where some of the bigger free agents will eventually sign. However, it also becomes clear that the need for the Braves to start addressing some of their remaining needs should hopefully happen sooner rather than later. Though the signing of Bryan De La Cruz added some organizational outfield depth on Sunday, the need for at least an additional arm and bat remains.
Battery Power’s Austin Cain-Reach provided some thoughts on the Braves pursuit of a significant offensive upgrade in the form of Jurickson Profar. In Profar, the Braves would add a bat with clear upside, and one that would hit from the left side of the plate and add good on-base potential. He could bat anywhere in the order, and could offer some power upside as well. While defense would certainly not be a strong suit, he could at least be manageable for the most part in the outfield. Though he may be somewhat expensive, Profar could also be a good source of value, which is a high priority for Alex Anthopoulos.
