There will be no winter extravaganza at Truist Park and The Battery next month Whenever January rolls around, that’s usually the time when the Atlanta Braves have their annual Braves Fest. It’s a very fun event which allows fans to roam Truist Park and get close to players, coaches and staff as well. It’s definitely one of the rare highlights of what’s usually a long and cld offseason and also a sign that baseball is right around the corner since spring training gets going in late-February.
Unfortunately for us Braves fans, we won’t be able to enjoy the event this upcoming January. That’s because the Braves dropped a bummer on us and announced that they won’t be holding the event in 2025.

Our annual Braves Fest that we traditionally host in January is one of our favorite events of the year! We always enjoy providing our fans with fun and unique opportunities to meet and engage with Braves players and coaches. After much thought and discussion, we have made the decision to not host Braves Fest for 2025. With construction currently underway at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta and preparations for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, we would not be able to host the type of event that our fans deserve and have grown to love. We look forward to welcoming fans back to the ballpark for unforgettable experiences next season, both on and off the field. We hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season and we can’t wait to see you in 2025!
Again, it’s a pretty big bummer since this has been a very popular event for Braves fans to enjoy each year. Still, it’s somewhat understandable. The construction that’s currently going on at the ballpark has to do with a major expansion of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Park, which they’re moving to the left field plaza between the left field gate and the third base gate. They’re also doing some work on expanding and enhancing the area in and surrounding the Chop House as well, so there’s that. I’d imagine that as long as they have construction/renovation work going on in the ballpark (especially on the lower level that’s most easily accessible to most fans roaming around) that the Braves organization wouldn’t want people potentially wandering into those areas in a scenario where fans essentially have the run of the entire ballpark.
While the reasoning is understandable, I do hope that this doesn’t turn into something similar to what the Cleveland Guardians have done. For those who may not know, the Guardians recently announced that they’re no longer holding their Guards Fest on an annual basis and instead are moving to holding it on a tri-annual basis. While it’s better than just outright cancelling the entire event, it’s still not something you want to see from a fan outreach standpoint. For a lot of fans, events like these are one of the best ways to actually get closet to the team that they watch on TV every day or watch on the field from the stands. While I’m sure these events themselves aren’t easy to put on, it’s still an easy way to connect with the fans and give them something to enjoy during the offseason, whether the team is good or not.
As far as Braves Fest goes, I’m hoping that this is just a one-time exception and that they keep on holding the event on an annual basis once 2026 rolls around — and hopefully it’s still free to attend, as well. The Braves have had a very good thing going with Braves Fest for a while now and hopefully it won’t be something that goes by the wayside all in the name of saving a buck or two. A year without Braves Fest won’t be the end of the world — especially in a year where the All-Star Game will be coming to town. Still, let’s not turn this into a trend, shall we?
