Allen was a member of the Braves organization during his MLB career. This evening, the Baseball Hall of Fame a Museum welcomed two new members when Dick Allen and Dave Parker were voted in by the Classic Baseball Era Committee.

Allen, who starred in the 1960s and 1970s, most notably with the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox. During the latter part of his career, he was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Atlanta Braves in December 1974. Allen refused to report to the Braves and was ultimately traded by the Braves to the Phillies in May 1975.
Allen was the 1964 National League Rookie of the Year with the Phillies and the 1972 American League MVP with the White Sox. He was a seven-time All-Star and also received MVP votes in seven season. During his 15-year career the corner infielder and left fielder amassed 61.3 fWAR with a 155 wRC+ with 351 career home runs and a career slash line of .292/.378/.534. His career spanned fro 1963 to 1977.
Allen passed away in 2020.
Parker spent 19 seasons in MLB, debuting in 1973 and wrapping up his career in 1991. He won the 1978 National League MVP with the Pittsburgh Pirates with whom he spent 11 seasons. He was a seven-time All-Star and won three Golden Gloves and three Silver Slugger Awards.
For his career, Parker had a 120 wRC+ collecting 41.1 fWAR with 339 home runs and 2,712 hits good for a slash line of .290/.339/.471.
Allen and Parker will be honored with the 2025 Hall of Fame class next Summer.
