Harper tossed five innings of one-run ball across two appearances. Another week of AFL action is in the books and with it, more stats and performances by Atlanta Braves prospects. Let’s dive into it.
Drake Baldwin
Baldwin did not appear in a game over the past week for Peoria. Across the 13 games he has played, however, Baldwin is sporting a stellar .943 OPS with one homer and nine RBI.
Davis McCabe
McCabe played in three games over the past week, going to the plate nine times, but tallying just one hit in those plate appearances. McCabe also had one RBI to his credit and has walked twice while striking out three times. In the AFL season, McCabe has posted a .584 OPS, with two extra-base hits and a total of 4 RBI.
Drew Compton
Like McCabe, Compton has also seen action in three games in the past seven days. During that time, Compton has gone to the plate 13 times, notching one hit and driving in a pair of runners. Compton’s overall stats haven’t been great, as he’s carrying a .328 OPS in 13 games, but he has driven in seven runs in those contests.
Isaac Gallegos
Gallegos was only called on to pitch in one game over the past week, going 1.1 innings out of the bullpen, allowing two runs on two hits. He also walked three batters while striking out two. Since the AFL season started, Gallegos has pitched in six games — one of which was a save opportunity he failed to convert — striking out 15 across 8.2 innings of work. He has an ERA of 4.15 so far, and has walked 11 batters as well.
Adam Maier
Maier appeared in one game for Peoria since last Friday, getting the start and going 3.2 innings. In the short start, Maier allowed two hits and two walks while allowing one unearned run on the day. All told, Maier has made four starts in the AFL this year, tossing 11 innings while posting an ERA of 9.00. He has also struck out ten batters in those 11 innings, but has also issued eight walks.
Landon Harper
Harper arguably had the best week of any Braves prospects playing in the AFL. While he appeared in just two games, the righty tossed five innings of work to the tune of a 1.80 ERA while striking out five batters and issuing zero walks. With his stellar week, Harper lowered his season ERA to 4.73 across 13.1 innings pitched. He has struck out a total of 13 batters while handing out just three walks.
Ryan Bourassa
Peoria has used Bourassa more in the past seven days, as the righty appeared in two games out of the bullpen. In those games, Bourassa tossed just 1.1 innings, striking out three and walking a pair of batters. Bourassa has pitched in seven games for Peoria this year, posting an ERA of 15.00 in just six innings of work. Bourassa has also allowed 11 runs on just six hits, but walks have been a dooming factor as he has issued a staggering ten walks thus far.
