Landon Harper
Relieving on Saturday Landon Harper turned in his best performance of the AFL season. Peoria is coming off an interesting three game stretch since Friday, dropping a game 2-1, ending in a 10-inning tie, and finally getting back into the win column with a 3-2 victory on Monday. It was a fairly quiet stretch for the Atlanta Braves prospects, as just two hitters appeared at all and four pitchers each made one appearance.
Drake Baldwin
Drake Baldwin did not play in any of the three Peoria games this weekend.
David McCabe
McCabe started Friday and went hitless in three at bats, though did draw a walk. He was actually the only Brave prospect to appear in that 2-1 loss. He sat out Saturday and returned to the lineup for the next game on Monday, where he went 0-3 - though he did collect an RBI on a ground out to second base. On the AFL season he is now hitting .222 with a .578 OPS.
Drew Compton
After sitting out the first game of the weekend Compton was back in the lineup on Saturday, going 0-5 and striking out three times. It was his only action of the weekend. Compton’s league slash line is now at .100/.192/.150.
Isaac Gallegos
Isaac appeared in one game, the Monday win, and struggled. Over an inning and a third of work he would allow two runs on two hits and three walks, though he did pick up two strikeouts. Just 18 of his 39 pitches went for strikes. Now at 8.2 AFL innings, he saw his ERA rise to 4.15 and his WHIP jump to 1.85.
Adam Maier
Maier got the start on Saturday and went three and two thirds innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts. Maier needed 65 pitches during this outing. He’s now up to 11 innings in the AFL with an ERA of 9.00 and WHIP of 2.36.
Landon Harper
Landon was the third straight Brave prospect to pitch on Saturday, coming in for the fifth inning and pitching two innings. He allowed one hit and and no walks with a pair of strikeouts over two scoreless frames. It took him 21 pitches to get through the pair of innings, with 16 landing for strikes. Harper’s slow start to the AFL seems to be turning around, as he is up to 10.1 innings with a 5.23 ERA and 1.64 WHIP.
Ryan Bourassa
Bourassa relieved Maier and got the final out in the fourth inning with a strikeout after walking his first batter. That did it for his day and brings him up to exactly five innings pitched in the AFL, posting a 18.00 ERA and 3.20 WHIP.
