Plenty of positivity on the Braves newest member of the coaching staff. As we are now potentially one game away from the 2024 MLB offseason beginning for all 30 teams, there is no doubt the biggest moves for the Braves this summer will involve players. However, after a significant falloff in offensive production in 2024 compared to 2023, the departure of Kevin Seitzer as hitting coach and arrival of new hire Tim Hyers could prove to be a big move for the future as well.
Hyers has had plenty of success in recent years, including in the postseason. And now has a member of the Braves, Hyers has some very specific areas of focus he wants to implement in Atlanta to make the offense more dynamic. It is also a never a bad thing when the hire gets a pretty favorable endorsement from Chipper Jones.

For the third straight game, Freddie Freeman connected with a home run as the Dodgers are now up three games to none after a 4-2 victory over the Yankees. Freeman’s historic start to the World Series has the Dodgers one win away from the title and Freeman likely winning World Series MVP.
Now in must win mode, the Yankees still could make the World Series interesting as the series remains in New York.
Will Venable (Rangers) and Craig Albernaz (Indians) are the two finalists for the Marlins managerial opening.
Both names are also potentially in the mix in the White Sox search for a new manager.
