Drake would go 8-for-13 including a crazy 5-for-6 game. Drake is now slashing .362/.434/.489 over 11 games in the AFL. Peoria continued to struggle, dropping two of the three games they played dating back to the 25th, with Atlanta Braves prospects making some notable contributions.
Drake Baldwin
What hasn’t Drake done this season? After sitting out a game, Drake came back with a vengeance. In a crazy game one that saw the Javelinas fall 14-10 it’s safe to say it wasn’t because of him. Drake would go nuclear going 5-for-6, all singles, with 4 RBI and 1 run scored. He would follow that up with another multi-hit performance this time going 2-for-3, with two walks on the 26th. He would then round out the weekend with a 1-for-4 performance on Sunday where he would also draw another walk. On the weekend, Drake would go 8-for-13 with 4 RBI, 3 walks, and 2 runs scored. Oh yeah, he also did this.

David McCabe
David would appear in just one game over the weekend going 1-for-5 with an RBI. He has now appeared in 6 games and is hitting .320/.393/.400 - a much needed performance after a rough return from Tommy John surgery.
Drew Compton
Like David, Drew appeared in one game over the weekend where he went 0-for-3 with a walk in the Javelinas 7-6 victory. After a strong 2024 campaign, Drew has struggled a bit in the AFL as he’s appeared in 8 games and has hit .148/.265/.222.
Isaac Gallegos
Isaac appeared in one game, the Javelinas 14-10 loss, and pitched very well. In a game filled with offense, Isaac was one of two pitchers to not surrender a run - and overall pitched to the line of 1.2IP 0H 0R 0BB 3K. Isaac has now appeared in 4 games and has a 3.38 ERA, and 16.9 K/9 rate, however has also struggled to throw strikes and has an inflated 11.8 BB/9.
Adam Maier
Adam (3IP 4H 3ER 2BB 4K) took to the mound on Saturday - the Javelinas lone win. While he wasn’t spectacular, it did allow Peoria to stay in the game. Adam’s statcast data look quite strong, so there isn’t much cause for concern - you would just like to see him miss a few more bats. Adam has pitched in 3 games for Peoria and has a 13.50 ERA, 9.8 K/9, and 7.4 BB/9 rate. His hits per 9 rate is an astounding 19.6 and that combined with his walk rate has his WHIP sitting at 3.000.
Landon Harper
Landon (2.1IP 5H 3ER 1BB 1K) also appeared in Peoria’s lone win over the weekend. He would surrender 3 earned runs over 2.1 innings of work - throwing 28 strikes on 42 pitches (66%). After a very strong season with Mississippi, Landon has had some struggles in the AFL having pitched 3 games with a 6.48 ERA, 8.6 K/9, 3.2 BB/9 but while also going up 14 hits per 9.
Ryan Bourassa
Ryan (0.2IP 5H 3ER 1BB 1K) appeared in one game over the weekend and did not have a good time to say the least. Ryan has now made 5 appearances for Peoria and it’s been rough as he has a 19.29 ERA. While the walk rate isn’t horrible, 3.9 BB/9, and his strikeout rate has been spectacular (13.5 K/9), he simply is not missing bats as he has a 25.1 hit per 9 rate which has resulted in an extremely rough 3.214 WHIP.
