Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday The Braves’ likely Cy Young winner continues to rake in awards for one of his best seasons, as he hugely bolstered his Hall of Fame case. If you go by JAWS, Sale is within the realm of Hall of Famers, but he probably needs a couple more quality seasons to solidify himself in the hall. He is solidly below average for Hall of Fame starting pitchers, so he has some work to do. With that being said, adding a Cy Young to his resume, which somehow did not already include the award can only help. If it weren’t for injuries, he would likely already be solidly considered a future Hall of Famer.

Chris Sale won the Players Choice NL Outstanding Pitcher and NL Comeback Player awards, as one of the few surprising performances on the good side of things for Atlanta in 2024.
