Running it back with the coaches next season, it seems. Braves manager Brian Snitker and Alex Anthopoulos met with the media for the first time since the season concluded in San Diego and spoke on a number of topics, one of which was the future of the coaching staff after a disappointing and injury-riddled 2024 campaign. According to both, the plan is for the entire coaching staff to return in 2025.

There was a question or two regarding the staff, namely pitching coach Rick Kranitz and hitting coach Kevin Seitzer.
While the pitching staff was fantastic for the Braves, Kranitz was away from the team for months due to a personal matter. There was some speculation he may step away from the club permanently, but it appears he will be back in 2025 with one of the game’s top pitching staffs.
The biggest question was with Seitzer. Following an abysmal year offensively, there were growing questions about whether or not Seitzer would return. Granted there is no guarantee he will be back — it would be a tad awkward for Snitker or Anthopoulos to effectively fire Seitzer in the middle of a press conference — it appears the Braves will bank on a bounce back next year.
Payroll increasing again
The Braves have been amongst the higher spenders in the league the last few seasons, and according to Anthopoulos, payroll will continue to climb this offseason.

Anthopoulos, of course, didn’t reveal specifics, but the Braves will seemingly have some cash freed up to potentially address holes in the rotation, shortstop, outfield, and bullpen.
