Atlanta benefits from Kansas City clinching their playoff spot yesterday, but still face Seth Lugo on the mound With Reynaldo Lopez on the mound, the Braves are benefitting from the Royals clinching their playoff spot last night, as many of their regulars are getting the day off and those who are playing may not be quite their normal selves. They will face the capable Seth Lugo, but the Royals may allow him a shortened outing, in preparation for the playoffs. Lugo or not, this is a game the Braves need to win, with the lineup that the Royals are sending out. A win today would put them in a very strong position to make the playoffs, especially if the Mets and/or the Diamondbacks lose again tonight.

The game will start at 7:20 PM ET in Atlanta and can be viewed on Bally Sports Southeast.
