Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday Well the Braves continued lurking in the wild-card race with a 6-2 win, but didn’t gain any ground as time is rapidly dwindling. The Braves are really running out of road to catch up in the wild-card race, but they do have that series against the Mets left on the schedule. They will enter that series at least one game behind, depending on whether they can both take care of business Sunday and get some help. The Brewers and Phillies have been very little help this past week, so the Braves may simply need to sweep the Mets themselves and keep winning. It’s a tall task, but nothing impossible.
