Culberson, who was a compensatory pick in the 2007 MLB Draft, finished his career with almost 8 full seasons of major league service time that spanned 11 major league seasons. He was originally drafted by the San Fransisco Giants, but played with the Dodgers, the Braves, and the Rangers, all as mostly a utility/bench player and was widely considered a tremendous clubhouse guy.
Culberson did take a brief run at being a full-time pitcher in his last minor league stint with the Braves in 2024, but only ended up throwing 4 innings of work total.
Culberson finishes his career with a batting line of .248/.293/.385, a 77 wRC+ and 0.5 career fWAR while playing major league games at 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF and RF. A true utility man.
Best of luck, Charlie!
