The catcher rotation continues and that’s the biggest lineup change of the day for Atlanta. We’ve got lineups for tonight’s middle game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves. The Braves may be desperate for a win but they aren’t going to make massive changes. That’s just how this team is but it’s still worth talking about how the lineups are going to shake out for tonight’s game.
Here’s the lineup for Atlanta:

This will now be three games in a row where they’ve gone with this particular batting order when it comes to the top five. The sixth spot sees another change, as Whit Merrifield moves up a spot, Sean Murphy replaces Travis d’Arnaud as the catcher and bats seventh, Orlando Arcia bats eighth and Gio Urshela moves down to ninth. The offense wasn’t horrible last night and in normal circumstances for the pitching staff, they probably did enough to win. Still, they have to find some consistency and here’s hoping that the offense we saw last night isn’t as fleeting as it has been in recent times.
Here’s the lineup for the Reds:

This lineup worked for them last night. It’s done pretty well for them over the past few games. I’d imagine that David Bell is going with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mantra here in the final stages of the regular season. Hopefully, Spencer Schwellenbach will be able to stop them in their tracks and the Braves can gain a foothold in this series.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 6:40 pm E.T. You can watch on Bally Sports South and listen on 680 The Fan/93.7 FM and the 680 The Fan app no matter where you are.
