AJSS allowed just one run over six innings of work, while Drake Baldwin continued to hit baseballs very hard. As the minor league season winds down the Braves system saw some very good performances from a number of their better prospects. AJ Smith-Shawver threw six very good innings, while Nacho Alvarez recorded a multi-hit game, Drake Baldwin hit some balls very hard, and a 2024 draft choice made an appearance in Double-A.

Gwinnett had AJ Smith-Shawver on the bump and he pitched very well for six innings, giving up just a solo homer to account for the only run against him. AJSS allowed three hits and two walks over the six innings, striking out six and picking up 11 swing and misses. AJ was quite efficient in this one as well, needing just 80 pitches to make it through six innings. Huascar Ynoa followed AJSS, and he allowed a run over two innings of relief, before a scoreless inning that included a pair of strikeouts from Ken Giles.
The heart of the order did a lot of the damage for the Stripers in this one. Luke Waddell led the way, going three for four, scoring a pair of runs, and picking up a RBI. Nacho Alvarez went two for three with a run scored and another batted in, with one of his plate appearances producing a 385 feet shot that ended up as a sac fly to center. Drake Baldwin only went one for four with a run scored, but he lit up the Statcast, recording three of the top five exit velocities in the game - all above 105 MPH. JP Martinez added a solo homer and stole a pair of bases as well to help the Stripers offense, as he scored two of the runs. Luke Williams and Luis Liberato added doubles in the win.
