Atlanta Braves news and notes from Tuesday. An injury-plagued season continues for the Atlanta Braves, as starting pitcher Reynaldo López made it through just one inning of work before exiting Tuesday’s game with shoulder tightness.

His tests came back clean and he is set to get an MRI in DC today. He is currently day-to-day.
López has been a huge asset to the pitching staff this year, owning a 2.03 ERA through 24 starts. More information on his status will be likely available today following his MRI.

Cleveland Guardians pitcher Sam Hentges will undergo shoulder surgery next week and is expected to miss 12 to 14 months.
