Whit Merrifield’s rough week continues We’ve got lineups and Whit Merrifield is set to miss his third game this week and according to some reports that have come out, he might be missing a lot more games in the future. I’d like to take this moment to apologize for tempting the baseball gods by saying that the Atlanta Braves’ injury luck was starting to turn because clearly they wanted to show me that this is still not the case.
Anyways, here’s Atlanta’s lineup:

Travis d’Arnaud is batting second and while he’s definitely been a solid hitter so far this season, this is the surest sign that this lineup is currently in dire straits and this is the highest that he’s batted in the lineup since June 2022. Either way, the Braves are going to have to figure out a way to keep it pushing even after yet another injury comes their way.
Here’s the lineup for the Toronto Blue Jays:

Toronto’s putting four new faces in the lineup, as you would imagine that they’d switch things up again going from facing a lefty last night to taking on a righty tonight. Nathan Lukes is the new leadoff hitter and playing right field, Spencer Horowitz is hitting cleanup and playing first base, Addison Barger is hitting second and playing third with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. focusing solely on hitting tonight and Joey Loperfido is in left and batting ninth.
You can catch the game tonight on Bally Sports Southeast starting at 7:20 pm E.T. If you can’t watch, then you can listen on 680 The Fan/93.7 FM/The Braves Radio Network and on the 680 The Fan App wherever you’re at. Also, if you’re the praying type then send one up for the Braves because these injuries really and truly have gotten out of hand.
