Atlanta Braves news and notes from Wednesday The Braves officially suffered another brutal injury loss in AJ Minter, while one injury replacement in Gio Urshela had a solid evening amidst an unlucky loss to the Phillies. It’s just been that kind of season in Atlanta, with bad luck of all kinds. They will turn to Spencer Schwellenbach to try and secure the series win nonetheless against the division-leading Phillies. Spencer has been remarkably good as a rookie, especially of his relative inexperience pitching overall. His strikeout to walk ratio has been particularly impressive once he settled in after his first few starts. Since his first three starts, he has walked no more than 2 batters in an outing and only struck out less than 6 once, which came in a 7.0 inning one run outing. He has been everything the Braves could have hoped for so far.
