Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday Chris Sale, the Braves’ big offseason addition has pitched his way to being the clear Cy Young favorite in the NL and Saturday was a continuation of that dominance. The Braves have a real shot at the pitching triple-crown in Sale and the hitting triple-crown in Marcell Ozuna. This is especially incredible, since the team has lost it’s best pitcher and hitter to season-ending injuries. This team is on the right side of the postseason bubble, despite awful injury luck and awful batted ball luck. It’s been a truly brutal season, but it is a testament to the work that the front office has done that the team can withstand all of this adversity and still be in the mix as we enter the home stretch of the season.
