Atlanta Braves news and notes from Thursday. An MRI revealed that Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler has a mild hamstring strain. He exited Wednesday’s game with tightness in his left hamstring and is now considered day-to-day.

He will be with the Braves as they travel to Anaheim, and though he will not appear in Friday’s game, an appearance on Saturday of Sunday has not been ruled out.
He’s been a huge asset after being acquired by the Braves at the end of July. Since rejoining the team, he’s recorded four home runs and 12 RBI.

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly signing left-hander Rich Hill to a minor league deal. It will mark his eighth contract with the organization.
