They’re still trying to figure it out out there. Alright, then! Let’s start talking about these lineups for the Baseball After Dark that we’re going to get this evening between the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants. As usual, we’re going to start with the Braves since this is a Braves blog, after all.
Here’s how the Braves are lining up:

As I mentioned in the title, this is a bit of a new-look lineup for the Braves as far as their lineup goes. Jorge Soler might be making his return to San Francisco but this’ll be the first time he’s actually been out there in the outfield playing defense. We’ll see how it works out, just like we’ll see how having Ramón Laureano in center and Adam Duvall in left. Maybe it'll click and we'll keep on seeing it! Maybe we'll continue to see Adam Duvall scuffle! Hopefully not but maybe!
Anyways, here's San Francisco's lineup for tonight:
8/12 San Francisco Giants Lineup:1 SS Tyler Fitzgerald2 1B Mark Canha3 CF Heliot Ramos4 3B Matt Chapman5 LF Jerar Encarnacion6 RF Mike Yastrzemski7 DH Marco Luciano8 C Patrick Bailey9 2B Casey Schmitt SP:Blake Snell #SFGiants #MLB— Grand Slam Picks (@GSMLBPicks) August 12, 2024
Marco Luciano is getting the start at DH for the first time since August 5 and the Giants are hoping that his work against left-handed pitchers so far this season can hold up against what'll surely be one of the most stern tests that he and this Giants lineup will have to deal with this season in the form of Chris Sale. For what it's worth, the Giants as a team have the joint-fourth-best team wRC+ against LHPs this season at 119, so this ought to be real interesting to watch tonight.
The game is scheduled to start at 9:45 P.M. E.T. and can be seen on Bally Sports South and listened to on 680 The Fan/93.7 FM.
