Former Braves outfield stay in organization while a former starting pitcher has injury setback. Former Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario has been outrighted by the organization to Triple-A Gwinnett after clearing waivers.

Rosario, who was the 2021 NLCS MVP, signed a minor league contract with the Braves on July 5, 2024 after being released by the Washington Nationals. He joined Atlanta on July 8 and stayed with the team until being designated for assignment on August 8.
During his second tour of duty with the Braves, Rosario appeared in 24 games slashing .154/.181/.282. Those number were worse than the ones he posted with the Nationals prior to his release from that organization.
Word also came out this afternoon that pitcher Huascar Ynoa, who is attempted to return from a UCL injury suffered in March 2023, has had a setback and has been returned from his rehabilitation assignment with shoulder tightness.

Ynoa appeared in only two games for Atlanta in 2022 but made 17 starts for the Braves in 2021. Ynoa debuted in 2019 and also saw action in 2020 both out of the bullpen and as a starter. In six games with Gwinnett this season, he had pitched 19.1 innings and made five starts. He had a 1.09 WHIP and struck out 15 batters in those appearances.
Still only 26-years-old, the right-hander will be shut down for at least a week as he tries to work his way back to the big league club.
