Kelenic will bat leadoff again | Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
Kelenic has had success against Montas, and Jorge Soler gets the game off. The Atlanta Braves are looking to end their four game losing streak, as well as their offensive drought in which they just broke their twenty-four inning scoreless streak tonight when they face the Brewers.
The Braves faced this afternoon’s starter, Frankie Montas two weeks ago and did well. They tagged him for four earned runs in 4.1 IP, while getting ten hits (one double), and three walks. They were only able to get four runs on all those base runners, so there is a possibility that this time around there could be even more runs.
Whit Merrifield has had the most success against Montas among Braves in his career in terms of average with .400 in twenty at-bats. Jarred Kelenic, who homered last night, has also been successful in a much smaller sample size of nine at-bats with a .333 average and 1.233 OPS with one HR.
In the last game against Montas, Olson, Murphy, and Arcia all had two hits. One of the bigger question marks before the lineup was released is if Murphy will get the start since he started last night and that the Braves will be facing Montas again in a short period of time. The other question mark is who would be in the outfield now that Eddie Rosario was just designated for assignment.

Murphy will not be getting the start, and Jorge Soler will be getting the game off. This will move Jarred Kelenic back into the leadoff spot, and Ramón Laureano will be in RF.
Although Charlie Morton has struggled this season by his standards, there could be one advantage in that only four Brewers have faced him before and only one has had success. Jake Bauers has a 1.116 OPS against him, but it has only been in seven at-bats. Gary Sánchez has had eighteen at-bats against him, but has struggled to a .222 average and .522 OPS. It is no shock that he is not starting this game.
Rhys Hoskins has also struggled in his twenty-two at-bats against Morton with a .227 average and .684 OPS. Willy Adames has seen Morton for twelve at-bats and has struggled mightily to a .083 average, and .416 OPS. Hoskins will also get the day off against Morton.

Former Braves fan favorite William Contreras, who has a single, two doubles, and a triple in this series so far against his former team gets the start at DH. Haase will get the start at catcher today.
First pitch is at 12:20 ET.
