The second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader between the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather. The game will be played on September 9 which was a mutual off day for the two clubs.
Tonight’s game against the Cincinnati Reds has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather. This game has been rescheduled for Monday, September 9th. The Braves will now head to New York where they will begin a four-game series against the Mets on Thursday. Atlanta didn’t name a starter for the series opener Thursday but that will now likely be Chris Sale, who was scheduled to start Tuesday night.
The Braves announced a roster move ahead of the cancellation, selecting the contract of lefty Zach Logue. Allan Winans was optioned back to Gwinnett after Tuesday’s start and Michael Harris was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
