The prized international signee made his debut after a lengthy rehab of a hamstring injury (20-32) FCL Braves 13, (25-28) FCL Twins 3
Box Score
Luis Guanipa, CF: 2-for-4, RBI, 2B, .282/.346/.451
John Gil, SS: 3-for-5, 2R, RBI, 2B, .286/.403/.389
Junior Garcia, 3-for-5, 3R, 2B, .317/.432/.446
Luis Parababire, C: 2-for-3, 3 RBI, R, 2B, .291/.480/.491
Huascar Ynoa, SP: 2.0IP 2H 1ER 0BB 0K
Huascar Ynoa made his first rehab appearance since the stress reaction in his elbow. Ynoa pitched in a pair of innings, giving up a run in the process. The quartet of Luis Guanipa, John Gil, Junior Garcia, and Luis Parababire continued to put in work going a combined 10-for-16 while driving in five runs, and scoring six times themselves. The Braves quickly put this game out of hand, scoring seven runs in the top of the second inning. They would go on to explode for another five runs in the sixth while picking up the win. It was a great offensive day for the team as everyone, except for Douglas Glod, picked up at least one hit. Glod did get on base twice via walk and scored both times as well. Of note, it was nice to see Diego Benitez pick up a pair of hits. Diego has had a position switch from SS to 3B, and has been lost offensively. It’s been a tough year, so hopefully this will get things going for Diego.
(21-10) DSL Reds 4, (9-19) DSL Braves 0
Box Score
Jose Perdomo, SS: 1-for-2, .500/.500/.500
Juan Espinal, 0-for-2, K, .200/.356/.314
Rudit Pina, SP: 4.0IP 1H 1ER 3BB 9K, 3.94 ERA
This game stands out as it was the season debut for prized international prospect Jose Perdomo. Jose, was the biggest signing bonus in the 2024 draft when the Braves inked him to a $5M deal. Jose has been out for most of the year struggling to return from a hamstring injury so his return was definitely a sight for sore eyes. In his second at bat, Jose just missed hitting a homerun so overall a very encouraging return to play for Jose.

As for the game itself, the Braves struggled to get it going offensively as they combined for just four hits with a Juan Mateo double being the lone extra-base hit. Rudit Pena had a really good start, striking out 9 over four innings of work while walking three.
