Baldwin kept his incredible season going with a massive home run to help lift the National League to a win Drake Baldwin
The Atlanta Braves lone representative, Drake Baldwin had quite the honor for the National League squad in this game, getting the nod to start at designated hitter and batting ninth. It was a good decision to give him that spot. In his first at bat he faced off against Caden Dana, and on a 1-1 fastball up in the zone grounded it over to the left side of the infield for an out. Baldwin then had a massive opportunity to do damage in the fourth inning with the bases loaded and one out. Drake laced one up the middle at 104.5 mph, but the line drive was right at the center fielder Max Clark and only one run came in to score making it 4-0 NL. Baldwin would get one more chance in the game to make his mark in the sixth inning, and boy did he ever. Baldwin worked an impressive at bat to get ahead 3-1, then got a fastball out over the plate and unloaded on it. Baldwin took it to the left center field gap perfectly, the ball leaving the bat at 107.3 mph and landing in the bullpen for a solo home run. That made Baldwin the only player in the game with 2 RBI and the only player with two batted balls over 100 mph. His 107.3 mph home run was the hardest-hit ball of the game.

National League 6, American League 1
box score | statcast
Both sides trades zeroes for a couple of innings, with the National League getting shaky, but ultimately empty innings out of Chase Dollander and Noble Meyer. With their first at bat of the third inning Cam Collier jumped on a Caden Dana fastball, driving it into the bullpen in left center field for a 1-0 NL lead. The National League then broke out in the fourth inning as Noah Schultz struggled. Some weak contact — the hardest hit of the trio was 74.2 mph — loaded the bases and Schultz walked in and then hit a batter to force in two runs to extend the NL lead. Baldwin of course smacked his with a .660 xBA, but couldn’t quite get it in the gap for a bases-clearing triple and settled for the sacrifice fly for the final run of the inning.
The AL finally got on the board the next inning as Thomas White struggled to find the strike zone, with Jaison Chourio providing the RBI hit. The AL loaded the bases with one out, but White got Max Clark to strike out looking and Robby Snelling finished the inning out by getting a pop out to keep the NL lead intact. The NL loaded the bases in the following inning, but couldn’t come away with any runs. After Baldwin’s home run the NL wasn’t done, as Jeral Perez added to the lead. He had a base hit then advanced as left fielder Chandler Simpson allowed the ball to skip past him, then advanced to third on a wild pitch before a ground out scored him to make it 6-1.
