The Big Bear will look to hit some big flys in Texas. Monday was a busy day on and off the field for the Atlanta Braves.
On field, the Braves earned one of their more impressive victories of the season. Coming from behind while also beating an opponent that scored 4+ runs in a game for the first time since April 17th is no small feat. The Braves combined the long ball with timely hitting once again tonight, and the result has been winning three out of four games against the teams that were in the NLCS last year.
Off the field, Atlanta decided to give Chris Sale an extra day of rest and recalled Bryce Elder to the big leagues to start on Monday. Atlanta also brought back Eddie Rosario in his return to the Braves. To make room, Dylan Lee and Luke Williams were sent down to the minor leagues. The return of Rosario is certainly noteworthy, as he he has had plenty of great moments for the Braves over the past few years. However, he also has had plenty of struggles at the plate this season, so time will tell what his ultimate value is to the Braves this year.
