The Braves bullpen gets a boost with the return of Minter. The Braves enjoyed an off-day on Monday as they are in the midst of a much needed long home stand as the season passes the half-way point and enters July. Atlanta secured a series win over the Pirates over the weekend, but still endured lingering offensive struggles in their loss on Sunday.
Fortunately, some good news arrived on Monday in the form of A.J. Minter. Minter missed a month of action due to a hip injury, but has been able to work his way back to full health. The Braves are hoping his return can allow the bullpen to stay as reliable as ever, and continue to play a big part in close games, such as their win on Saturday. This could be a needed strength as the Braves finish this home stand against the Giants and Phillies.
