Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday The Braves lost a game thoroughly to a very good Yankees team, tying the series at 1-1. Meanwhile, AJ Minter looked strong in a rehab appearance on the farm, as the return of what would be another big bullpen piece appears close. Minter would only help what has been a really good pitching staff this season for Atlanta, as AJ has been one of the best relievers in baseball when healthy for the last few years. The offense seems to have woken up, with some solid performance from Jarred Kelenic at the leadoff spot, Marcell Ozuna continuing to go crazy in 2024, and some of the team’s other pieces finding some mojo again at the plate. A series win is in play for the team in Yankee Stadium behind Max Fried, and that would be a fantastic result to continue the momentum they have finally found after such a long period of struggle.
