The Braves lineup will face a tall task in Detroit lefty Tarik Skubal. The Atlanta Braves will try to complete their first three-game sweep since late April when they wrap up their series Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers. The Braves took the first two games of the series, winning 2-1 in both contests. Reynaldo López will get the start for Atlanta Wednesday while Detroit will go with lefty Tarik Skubal.
Sean Murphy returns to the Braves’ lineup Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday’s game. Murphy has appeared in just 15 games this season after missing time with a strained oblique but has struggled to get going and is 7-for-52 at the plate. Ramon Laureano is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the lefty. Forrest Wall started the first two games of the series. Adam Duvall is hitting sixth and will play left field. Duvall is hitting .275/.393/.565 with a 167 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers this season.
