Atlanta Braves news and notes from Friday. The Atlanta Braves had a pitiful night offensively in Friday’s 2-1 loss to the Washington Nationals. Although Chris Sale was great with ten strikeouts, it wasn’t enough to down the division rivals.
The Braves’ lone run came in the eighth when Matt Olson singled to score Marcell Ozuna.

Atlanta went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on. The club falls to 35-26 and looks to get back in the win column this afternoon.
